Yoga and Naturopathy for Back Pain

Back pain is a common, painful condition affecting the lower portion of the spine due to disorder in muscles, nerves or bones. Back pain can vary from a dull constant ache to a sudden sharp feeling.  It is caused by injury to a muscle (strain) or ligament (sprain). Common causes include improper lifting, poor posture, lack of regular exercise, a fracture, a ruptured disc or arthritis.

In case of injury: Take proper rest. Mix 1 spoon of turmeric in a glass of milk and boil it properly and drink hot in the evening before going to bed.

In case of long term problem: Practice of yoga asana will help by activating the joints that improve circulation of blood. Increased blood circulation will detoxify the dead cell and metabolic waste. Proper detoxification will help in absorption of nutrients. It will help in strengthening the back. As a result over the period of time, back pain will be cured.
