Yoga and Naturopathy for Epilepsy

A disorder in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed, causing seizures. Epilepsy may occur as a result of a genetic disorder or an acquired brain injury, such as a trauma or stroke. Epileptic seizures are the result of excessive and abnormal nerve cell activity in the cortex of the brain.  During a seizure, a person experiences abnormal behavior, symptoms and sensations, sometimes including loss of consciousness.


Yogic Kriya: Practice Jal neti daily, kunjal once in a week.

Asana: Practice inverted poses like viparit karani, sarvangasana, halasana etc. followed by re-versa poses like fish pose.

Pranayama: Kapalbhati, Anulom Vilom, Bhramari and Udgit pranayama.

Mudra: Gyan Mudra, Prana Mudra etc.

Meditation: Practice meditation daily for 20 minutes.

Naturopathy: Observe fruit fasting once in a week. Take triphala with lukewarm water in the evening and in the morning with 1 tea spoon full of honey. Drink soybean milk. Eat raw green leafy vegetables. Take mud pack on abdomen for 20 minutes and forehead and take enema after that take enema. Practice hip bath, sitz bath, spinal bath daily. Drink at least 2-3 liters of water. Take wet sheet pack once in a week.
