Yoga and Naturopathy for Impotency (Erectile Dysfunction) ​​​​​​​

It is a type of sexual dysfunction characterized by the inability to develop or maintain an erection of the penis during sexual activity. A penile erection is the hydraulic effect of blood entering and being retained in sponge-like bodies within the penis. The process is most often initiated as a result of sexual arousal, when signals are transmitted from the brain to nerves in the penis. The most important organic causes of impotence are cardiovascular disease and diabetes, neurological problems (for example, trauma from prostatectomy surgery), hormonal insufficiencies (hypogonadism) and drug side effects.

Psychological impotence is where erection or penetration fails due to thoughts or feelings (psychological reasons) rather than physical impossibility; this is somewhat less frequent and can often be helped. Notably, in psychological impotence, there is a strong response to placebo treatment. Erectile dysfunction can have severe psychological consequences as it can be tied to relationship difficulties and masculine self-image. Treating the underlying causes such as potassium deficiency or arsenic contamination of drinking water also may help.


Asana: Garudasana, Viparit Karani, Sarvangasana, Halasana, Matsyasana, Paschimottanasana, Chakrasana, Dandasana, Dhanurasana, Ardhmatsyendrasana,  Supta-vajrasana,  Shavasana,

Pranayama: Kapalbhati, Bahiya, Anulom Vilom, Nadisodhan etc.

Mudra/Bandha: Yogmudra, Ashwani Mudra, Uddyan Bandha, Mul Bandha

Meditation:  Yog Nidra and meditation are the great help.


Make sure you don’t have constipation. Take mud pack or hot and cold fomentation on lower abdomen on belly for 20 minutes followed by enema and hot and cold hip bath, after enema. 

Spinal bath and stiz bath also are useful. Sprinkle cold water on the penis and scrotum daily. Give hot and cold fomentation to penis. Massage the penis with castor oil.

Diet Therapy:

Soak 1 spoonful of fenugreek (Methi) and 1 spoonful of coriander powder and consume it with milk in the morning for a month.

Take Amla powder with honey.

Take 3 gm of triphala, 1 gm of sesame oil and 6 gm of honey daily on empty stomach. Sesame milk is very good for male strength and formation of sperm.

Boil 2-3 dates in milk and drink it. Consume 30gm black raisins with hot milk.

Eat basil seeds with betel (pan) leaf. Consume Bathua to increases sperm formation and strength.

Eat overnight soaked black gram and drink that water mixing 1 spoon of honey.

Dry Peepal tree seed in the shade and make powder of it to take it daily with hot milk.

Chestnut (Singhara) and aniseed (saunf) are good.

Take 2-3 spoon of raw turmeric juice with honey.

Take 10-15 drops of garlic juice with a bowl of water for a month.

Premature Ejaculation: Soak 6 almond nuts and 6 black-peppers overnight and chew it with 2 gm fried ginger and then drink milk over it. Do it for 45 days. No intercourse during this period.

Acupressure: Press the beginning point of wrist of both hands for 3 min each for sure cure.
