Yoga and naturopathy for  Low Blood Sugar (Hypo Glycaemia)

Low blood sugar, also known as hypoglycemia, can be a dangerous condition. Hypo glycaemia can happen in people with diabetes who take medicines that increase insulin levels in the body. Taking too much medication, skipping meals, eating less than normal or exercising more than usual can lead to low blood sugar for these individuals.


Keep yourself mentally relax. Eat something sweet. Drink glucose or sweet & salty lemon sikanji for immediate relief.

Diet Therapy:

Mint water, grape juice, sweet lemon juice, sweet fruit juice and vegetable juice are good.

Take seasonal sweet fruits, Vitamin B (whole grain cereals-oatmeal, wheat gram, brown rice, vegetables, soya, apple, banana etc.), Vitamin C (Citrus fruits viz. Amla, orange, lemon, Guava, tomato etc. ), Vitamin E (Spinach, Avocado, almonds, Broccoli, Sunflower etc.) dominated foods.

Take small meals every 3-4 hours.

Avoid use of refined food, coffee, alcohol, soft drinks, maida and sweets.
