Yoga and Naturopathy for Measles

Measles is a highly contagious infection caused by the measles virus. Initial signs and symptoms typically include fever, often greater than 104.0°f, cough, runny nose, and inflamed eyes. Two or three days after the start of symptoms, small white spots may form inside the mouth, known as koplik’s spots. The disease spreads through the air by respiratory droplets produced from coughing or sneezing, saliva (kissing or shared drinks) skin-to-skin contact (handshakes or hugs), . Measles symptoms don’t appear until 10 to 14 days after exposure. There’s no treatment to get rid of an established measles infection, but over-the-counter fever reducers or vitamin a may help with symptoms.
