Yoga and Naturopathy for Memory Weakness

Memory works in a mechanism called, use it or lose it. Memories that are called up and used frequently are least likely to be forgotten. Forgetfulness is regarded as benificil because it clears the brain of unused memories making way for newer and more useful ones. It’s normal to forget things from time to time, and it’s normal to become somewhat more forgetful as you age. Anyone can experience memory loss or memory distortion at any age. Some of these memory flaws become more problematic with age which is considered indicators of alzheimer’s or other memory impairing illnesses.


Diet Therapy:

Take Balanced diet that includes fresh fruits, vegetables, sprouted etc.

Take cow’s milk or sesames milk. 

Eat grapes, apple, 4-5 walnuts, 2 figs, black raisins etc.

Stop taking tea, coffee, sugar, maida, liquor, soft drinks, fried food etc.

Some more tips for better memory:

1.          Make pest by grinding basil, almond, black pepper and mix it with honey to take it every day.

2.         Take basil juice with honey every day.

Yogic Kriya: Practice jal neti and Tratak daily.

Asana: Paschimotanasana, Chakrasana, Sarvangasana, Halasana, Matsyasana, Sirsana, Savasana followed by Yognidra etc.

Pranyama: Bhastrika, Kapalbhati, Bahiya, Nadi Sodhan, Om Chanting, Bhramari etc.

Meditation: Meditate daily etc.
