Yoga and Naturopathy for Constipation

Constipation refers to bowel movements that are
infrequent or hard to pass. The stool is often hard and dry.
Other symptoms may include abdominal pain, bloating,
and feeling as if one has not completely passed the bowel
movement. Complications from constipation may include
hemorrhoids (Piles), anal fissure or fecal impaction.
TREATMENT
Yogic Kriya: Practice Enema, Shankha Prakshalana,
Agnisar, Kriya.
Asana: Tadasana, Katichakrasana, Bhujangasana,
Uarakarshashan, Dhanurasana, Salabhasana,
Suryanamaskar,

Pranayama: Kapalbhati, Bahiya and anulom vilom
Bandh and Mudra: Apan mudra, Vddiyan Bandha,
Tri-Bandwha.
Diet Therapy:
Increase fibrous food i.e. fruits (apple, guava, grapes,
papaya, orange, dates, figs, coconut, bel or wood apple),
vegetables (spinach, methi seeds, cabbage) and salad
(cucumber, carrot, beet root, tomatoes).
Avoid Maida, Besan, fried food and red chili.
Take raw spinach juice in the morning to cure chronic
constipation in few days. Wheat grass juice also cures
constipation.
Take Triphala powder with lukewarm water before
going to bed and drink 2 glasses of lukewarm water
in the morning as a first thing. Soak Amaltas overnight
and drink the water in the morning. This can be taken
in the evening as well.
Naturopathy:
Take mud pack/ wet pack and enema for 5 days and
have hip bath after that. Go for morning walk for 4
km daily. Drink water processed in green bottle with
sun rays.
