Yoga and Naturopathy for Intestinal Worms

Intestinal worms are parasites, deriving their nutrition
from the human gut. Three types of worms can infest
the human intestine: roundworms, tapeworms and
flukes. They can live throughout the body, but most
prefer the intestinal wall. Means of exposure include
ingestion of under-cooked meat, drinking infected
water, and skin absorption. Intestinal worms are
transmitted by parasite eggs that are passed in the
feces of infected individuals. The various species
within these groups can live in different parts of the
intestines, causing differing symptom patterns. People
with mild to moderate intestinal worm infestations
may not show symptoms.
