Sinusitis, also known as a sinus infection or
rhinosinusitis, is a common inflammation of the paranasal
sinuses, the cavities that produce the mucus

necessary for the nasal passages to work effectively.
Allergies, bacteria or a virus can cause inflammation
of the sinuses, or sinusitis.
Symptoms include thick nasal obstruction or congestion
that causes difficulty breathing through your nose. It
causes pain and swelling around your eyes, cheeks,
nose or forehead. Other signs and symptoms may
include fever, headaches, poor sense of smell, sore
throat, and cough.
TREATMENT
Yogic Kriya: Jal neti, Sutra Neti, Kunjal, Vastra Dhauti,
Shankha Prakshalana, Agnisar Kriya etc.
Asana: Surya Namaskar, Dhanurasana, yogmudrasana,
chakrasana, savasana etc.
Pranayama: Alternet Nostril Kapalbhati, Anulom
Vilom, Nadi sodhan, Surya Bhedi pranayama etc.
Bandha and Mudra: Gyan mudra, Vayu mudra, Tri
Bandha, Viparit Karani mudra etc.
Meditation: Meditation is useful as it reduces the
stress.

Diet Therapy:
Fast on lukewarm water and fruit juices for few
days. Fast on Fruits (no banana), raw vegetables and
sprouted cereals. Vitamin A and C dominated food are
good. Eat onion and garlic. Instead of animal milk take
sesame or soya or coconut milk.
Avoid heavy food, fried food, fast food, spicy food,
white sugar, unhealthy food, smoking, alcohol etc.
Minimize salt in take.
Naturopathy:
Take hot and cold fomentation on nose with small towel.
Take steam on face. Apply mud pack on abdomen and
take enema. Take hot foot bath before going to bed.
Sleep enough in well ventilated room. Put 2 drops of
almond oil or mustard oil in the nose.
