Yoga and naturopathy for Ear Diseases

There are various types of Ear diseases. Ear diseases and ear infections can especially be worrying because they could lead to pain and discomfort or even serious hearing impairment. 


Yoga asana: Surya Namaskar, Simhasana, Dhanurasana, Salabhasana, Bhujangasana etc.

Pranayama: Anulom Vilom, Bhasrika, Bhramari etc.

Yogic Kriya: Jal Neti, Kunjal


Massage the ear along with front and back region of ear with your palm.

Stretch the ear on top, town and centre.

Insert your index fingers on your ear and move it clockwise and anticlockwise.

Cover your palm on ear, press there and listen the buzzing sound. Release it and repeat it for 3-5 times.


•           If insect has gone in the ear, put 2 drop of warm mustard oil; the insect will be killed and flown out with oil.

•           Most of the time humming sound comes due to constipation or gas, if that is the case, take enema with lukewarm water.

For inflammation or infection: Have hot & cold fomentation near ear.  Mix a pinch of salt and garlic in heated mustard oil. Let the temperature be normal and put two drop of it thrice a day.

• For ear ache: Put 2 drops of warmed onion juice.

For deafness: Drop the juice of Peepal leaves or basil leaves. Cover the ear with cotton and take mud pack. Take local steam.
