Yoga and Naturopathy for Tonsillitis

Tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils. It is a type of
pharyngitis (swelling in the back of the throat (pharynx)
between the tonsils and the voice box (larynx). Most
sore throats are caused by colds, the flu, bacteria and
virus etc.) Tonsillitis is most commonly caused by a
viral infection, with about 5% to 40% of cases caused
by a bacterial infection. Typically the infection is
spread between people through the air. Symptoms
may include sore throat, fever, enlargements of the
tonsils, troubles swallowing and large lymph nodes
around the neck.

TREATMENT
Yogic Kriya: Practice Jal neti, daily and Kunjal.
Asana: Neck exercises, Viparitkarani, Sarvangasana,
Halasana, Matsyasana, Mandukasana, Kurmasana,
Ustrasana, Chakrasana, Surya namaskar etc.
Pranayama: Kapalbhati, Bhastrika, Agnisar, Anulom
Vilom etc
Bandha & Mudra: Jalandhar, Tri-Bandh, Ling mudra.
Diet Therapy:
Remain on warm water and juices for one day. Take
fruit and vegetable only for few days. Consume honey
and ginger juice mixed together. Drink water with
sipping. Gargle with slain turmeric water, coriander
juice or water boiled with margosa leaves or with the
soup of amaltas. Boil basil leaves and clove and drink
that soup.
Take once piece of Mulethi, few black peppers and a
piece of misri. Keep it in mouth and swallow the juice
of it slowly. Take triphala powder with hot water at
night. Avoid milk, curd, sweet, fried food, spicy food
etc.
Naturopathy: Take hot foot bath, wet sheet pack, hip
bath, steam bath.
