Yoga and Naturopathy for Ulcer

Ulcer is an open sore on an external or internal
surface of the body, caused by a break in the skin or
mucous membrane which fails to heal. Stomach ulcer
is a sore that develops on the lining of the oesophagus,
stomach or small intestine. Ulcers range from small,
painful sores in the mouth to bedsores and serious
lesions of the stomach or intestine. Stomach ulcers
occur when stomach acid damages the lining of the
digestive tract. Common causes include the bacteria
and anti-inflammatory pain relievers including aspirin.
Common symptom includes upper abdominal pain.
TREATMENT
Treatment usually includes medication to decrease
stomach acid production, change in diet to reduce acid
production. If it is caused by bacteria, antibiotics may
be the better option.
Yogic Kriya: Kunjal once in a week.
Asana: Paschimotanasana, Chakrasana, Pawan
Muktasana, Sarvangasana, Halasana, Janu-sirsasana,
Mandukasana, Padhastasana, Bhujangasana and
Savasana etc.
Pranayama: Kapalbhati, Agnisar, Bahiya, Nadisodhan
etc.

Mudra: Apan mudra, uddiyan bandh etc.
Diet Therapy:
First of all avoid the causes of ulcer viz. avoid use of
chilli, spices, stale food, fried food, tea, coffee, sugar,
salt, maida products, smoking, alcohol and other
intoxicating products etc. Avoid constipation and have
proper rest.
Fasting is the best things to do for the patient with
acidity problem. Do fast on liquid food viz. coconut
water, white pumpkin juice, beetroot juice, cucumber
juice, spinach juice and amla juice with honey. Juice
fasting should be followed by fruit fasting viz. papaya,
chikoo, custard apple, mango, dates, melon, salad and
raw vegetables etc. Do not take animal protein and
vegetable protein together. Make a habit of taking a
spoon of aniseed (saunf) after taking full meal.
Naturopathy:
Mud pack on abdomen, enema, hip bath, wet pack on
abdomen.
For Mouth & Tongue ulcer: Gargle with coriander
juice or alum powder mixed water or lemon water
boiled tomatoes juice after cooled. Avoid smoking,
tobacco and alcohol. Take guava leaves juice slowly
taking it in mouth for sometime or chew the leaves

and swallow it. Take vitamin B rich foods avoid taking
not good or water. Take cold water in mouth for some
time of bring cooling effect.
